About this session

Extreme misogyny is on the rise, spurred on by knuckle-dragging bigots like Andrew Tate and Donald Trump. This session will discuss why this is happening, questioning the dominant explanations we hear. It will argue that we need to understand and confront the sexist society we live in more fundamentally – one which continues to oppress, objectify and underpay women.
