About this session

By 1929, the Russian Revolution had been completely vanquished, undermined by war, blockade and isolation, and overthrown by Stalin’s counter-revolution. This session will discuss how the revolution was lost, and how to understand Stalin’s regime. Contrary to common belief, there was nothing inevitable about this defeat.
